Dungarees were originally a 20th-century US Navy uniform, also used as overalls as a sort of protective clothing at work by workmen such as painters, firemen, automechanics, to mention but a few. Overtime, it has become a trendy outfit for both males and females of all ages.

The Dungaree style is a trouser-bottom with a material that covers the front known as a 'bib' and two straps over the shoulder connected to the bib. Its a unique piece of clothing, in the sense that it could be donned anyway depending on the mood or occasion.

The type of dungarees used as workwear is known as The 'bib and brace' overalls and are usually loose-fitting.

 The trendier dungarees could be tight-legged or loose-legged but are mostly made from denim, as shown below.
