In the light of children's day celebration on May 27th, 2016. The newly crowned Most Beautiful Girl in Akwa Ibom - Miss. Enyie Uduak and the Most Beautiful Queen in Nigeria Tourism - Annie Umanah set out to celebrate the day with the lovely children at Anua Orphanage Home, Uyo, Nigeria.

Right now the people of the federal republic of nigeria are wanting to know what's trending this easter season, the hot new trend spotted in the urban prone areas of nigeria are peplum,crazy jean, and crop tops. 

All these trends have edgy brands of white and blue with a background of ash color coupled with white which makes it perfect. We first saw it as a nostalgic display especially the crazy jean until we viewed the look from another perspective.

HOW TO SLAY IN MIDI SKIRTS/DRESSES( SHORT LADIES EDITION)

Like I always tell my dad, fashion evolves,trends disappear and reappear and that's why the short dress/skirt trend now plays underground,paving way for midi length wears. Midi wears are clothes with length below the kneel( more like medium length).
Midi wears can be made with African fabrics, laces,spandex (just name them) into circular( skater and the likes) and body fits(bodycon/pencil) styles. This trend fits in for evening wears, corporate wears and they are quiet decent for church and even Muslim sisters depending on how they are worn.
So short ladies these goes to you. You are very likely to look a bit taller if you do these
1. Wear crop tops - yes crop tops leave a space around the natural waist line between the top and the skirt. So this just means a midi length skirt and a crop top create an elongating effect making you seem a bit taller.
2. Foot wears - a nude footwear, a strappy or open sandal,heeled open toes or sandals all pair well with midi length wears. Heels of course make us taller but open sandals create long legs effect because they are scantily covered.
3. Avoid some fabrics - yes very shiny fabrics and heavy fabrics tend to make short people look funny. Heavy fabrics will make you seem like you are drowning. So choose loose cottons,light spandex, chiffon and the likes so you don't kill the end up killing the trend.
4. Waistband and belt - for a midi skirt choose a high waisted one and for a dress try using moderately wide belts. These two hold ur waist in and make your briefness less pronounced.
5. Length - avoid wearing midi lengths way below your kneels or even as long as your mid calf . Anything below your leg calf will make the dress look too long for you.

Conclusively,in doing these,don't forget to put on the appropriate make ups and accessories to glam up your trendy look.

CONFIDENT LADY

For some ladies, confidence comes off natural, while to others it needs to be developed. Not to worry though, here are few tips to build just that right level of confidence.

* This might sound a bit odd, but the first thing a lady should aspire is to BE NEAT. To a large extent, such gives an air of organisation to your personality, and also commands respect among peers and sundry.

* Well, you don't need the latest 'gucci' bag or 'jimmy choo' shoes to feel good about yourself...just BE COMFORTABLE and make best use of what you have - it's that simple.

* Your face says a lot more than you might think. Some people might say your natural face is more beautiful..I agree..but if we are gonna be honest..a little BIT OF MAKE-UP might give more radiance to your face.
The first area of attention in any person is the face, lipstick, little amount of eyeliner, and a bit of mascara gives your face that right pop, and maturity.

* EMBRACE YOUR IMPERFECTION! You dont have to be perfect at all you do - do what you feel is right, and have faith that you've done the right thing. If eventually it turns out wrong, well, you try again! Keep a strong stand on anything you feel right. Its okay to accept new ideas and put them to use, but only if you feel such ideas could be right & useful to you.

* Most importantly, STOP BEING INSECURED about yourself or your body. Like... "Oh! My physical 'body curves' are just small, I would love bigger ones". Just note this - people see you the way you see yourself. And if you see yourself as an epitome of perfection, do not hesitate to flaunt it - people will get the message.

Confident ladies do SEEK USEFUL ASSISTANCE when needed. Being self-assured does not totally mean you should not seek for assistance when the need arises - nonetheless it shows you are human afterall.

So to all my ladies....find that unique quality in you and make the most out of it, starting now!

THE LOVE FOR DUNGAREES

You cant go wrong with a pair of Dungarees. Absolutely wearable on almost all occasions with zero-stress. Mostly made from denim (available in other materials too) these days.

Dungarees were originally a 20th-century US Navy uniform, also used as overalls as a sort of protective clothing at work by workmen such as painters, firemen, automechanics, to mention but a few. Overtime, it has become a trendy outfit for both males and females of all ages.

The Dungaree style is a trouser-bottom with a material that covers the front known as a 'bib' and two straps over the shoulder connected to the bib. Its a unique piece of clothing, in the sense that it could be donned anyway depending on the mood or occasion.

The type of dungarees used as workwear is known as The 'bib and brace' overalls and are usually loose-fitting.

 The trendier dungarees could be tight-legged or loose-legged but are mostly made from denim, as shown below.

Get yourself a pair of dungarees and enjoy the freedom of not having to decide if you want a low or high-waisted jeans LOL!

OMBRÉ LIP

 Its main purpose is to give the illusion of fuller lips. It involves two to three colors. This lipcolor could be achieved in three ways which we would be discussing below.

--For the first look, a dark color (preferably a lip pencil) is applied on the outer part of the lip on the lower and upper lips, also serving as the lip liner, then a lighter color on the inner, edges should be blended to give that natural look.

--The second look is achieved by applying the dark color on the sides of the lower and upper lips from the corner to about quarter of the whole lip from both sides, leaving just the middle portion untouched, then applying the lighter color to that portion, time to blend! blend the edges of both colours together till seamline disappears.

--Three colors are needed for the third look, this look is much more dramatic, with the darker color on one side of your lips(lower and upper), the lighter color in the middle and the lightest on the other side, blend edges together. Can also be applied horizontally starting with the darker color from the upper lip downwards.

Voilah! You are good to go with any of these three ombré lip looks.

Lipgloss can be applied for the glossy effect.

Some common 'ombré' lipcolor combos are:
-black-nude

-burgundy-red-nude
-burgundy-red
-burgundy-rose pink
-purple-nude
-purple-pink
-pink-nude
-red-nude
Nude color can virtually be combined with all colors!

Step gracefully, not like you're marching.

Don't move your arms or shoulders too much, and don't move an arm more than you move the other, or it will look like you have only one arm that works.

Videotape yourself walking, so you can understand what other people are seeing. Also, by keeping a visual record of your walk, you'll be able to trace your progress as you learn how to strut your stuff like a real supermodel would.

If you should trip, fall, or have any other unfortunate circumstance, recover gracefully. Smile, and keep going as if it never happened. Nothing will demonstrate your confidence like your performance under stressful circumstances.

Watch supermodels walk the walk. Visit fashion shows and watch them on TV. Who were the models that stood out the most? What made them unique? How was her walk different from the others'? Learn from the best so that you don't have to reinvent the wheel.
